PLN ProjectNervi

The protection of the architectural heritage of Pier Luigi Nervi

The PLN Project is a non-profit organisation, created in Brussels (Belgium) in 2008 by one of Pier Luigi Nervi's grandsons, Marco. Since 2021 it has been a foundation, dedicated to the knowledge of the figure and work of the great Italian engineer, architect and builder and to the preservation of his cultural heritage.
The 30th anniversary of Pier Luigi Nervi's death (2009) offered the stimulus to conceive a celebratory research project resulting in the production of an international travelling exhibition entitled "Pier Luigi Nervi: Architecture as a Challenge". The past 13 years have seen the organisation conduct in-depth research into the personality and work of Pier Luigi Nervi, thanks also to its network of contacts and collaborations with universities, scholars, institutions and national and international professionals.
The PLN Project is committed to the preservation of Pier Luigi Nervi's architectural heritage in Italy and internationally, contributing to the development of a project culture for the redevelopment of the modern through educational and dissemination activities.
